Situation calm in Donbas on Oct 15 - Kyiv
KYIV. Oct 16 (Interfax) - The situation was quiet in Donbas on Thursday, with Ukraine's military continuing to clear mines in the region, the press center of the Ukrainian army operation in the country's east reported on its Facebook page on Friday morning.
"Servicemen continue to equip their positions and are preparing their hardware for the winter. Mine clearing operations are conducted in Ukraine-controlled territory on a daily basis," the press center said.
On October 15, Ukrainian soldiers removed mines from the rail track near the town of Stepne in the Donetsk region.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces also said that the withdrawal of weapons continues in accordance with the Minsk agreements.
"Yesterday 12 mortars with calibers less than 100mm were removed to a distance of over 15 kilometers from the frontline," the press center said.
