MOSCOW. Oct 16 (Interfax) - Up to a hundred armed militants cross the Syrian-Turkish border daily disguised as refugees, Col. Gen. Andrei Kartapolov, head of the Main Operations Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff, said on Friday.

"According to our intelligence, including radio interceptions, each night up to a hundred armed extremists from Jabhat an-Nusra cross the border near Reyhanli, and ISIL militants near Jarabulus," Kartapolov told foreign military attaches and journalists on Friday.

There are confirmed reports that militants have been pulling out from war zones through the routes used by refugees on the Syrian-Turkish border, he said.
