Russian, Sudanese diplomats discuss political settlement in Middle East
MOSCOW. Oct 20 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov met with Sudanese State Minister of Foreign Affairs Kamal Ismael Saeed, who is visiting Moscow as a member of a Sudanese government delegation led by Second Vice President Hassabu Mohamed Abdel Rahim.
"During the conversation, [Bogdanov and Saeed] considered ways to further strengthen the entire range of Russian-Sudanese ties, with an emphasis placed on deepening a political dialogue, including in the format of the Russian-Sudanese high-level working committee. They also substantively discussed relevant aspects of the regional agenda, focusing on the development of the situation in South Sudan, Yemen, Libya and Syria, and a political settlement of crisis situations in the Middle East, North Africa and the Horn of Africa," the Russian Foreign Ministry said on its website on Tuesday.
