Gazprom board hasn't discussed buyback, this not on agenda - Novak
ALMATY. Oct 23 (Interfax) - Gazprom's board of directors has not discussed a share buyback, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak, who is a member of the gas giant's board, told reporters.
"The board meeting that took place on Tuesday did not discuss this issue," he said.
Asked whether the issue had been put on the agenda for future board meetings, he said: "It wasn't on our agenda, at least not the one I saw."
Gazprom itself has denied reports the company was planning a share buyback. "There'll be no buyback. That's the wrong interpretation," a management source told reporters on Thursday.
