One Ukrainian soldier wounded in Donbas in past 24 hours - Kyiv

KYIV. Oct 25 (Interfax) - One serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been wounded in the Donetsk region over the past 24 hours, Kyiv has reported.

The Ukrainian presidential administration's spokesman for the army operation in Donbas, Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, has said that militia forces used small arms and grenade launchers near the Putilovska mine in the Donetsk region on Saturday.

"One of our servicemen was wounded. It is a fragmentation wound. It is not life-threatening," Motuzyanyk told a press briefing in Kyiv on Sunday.

He also claims that militiamen fired small arms, grenade launchers and anti-aircraft systems near the village of Peski overnight into Sunday.

"Ukraine has been observing the ceasefire and informs representatives of the OSCE SMM (Special Monitoring Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe) of each provocation," he added.

For its part, the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic said earlier that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had opened fire on the territory of the DPR over 20 times in the past 24 hours.
