U.S. Secretary of State Kerry, billionaire Soros to visit Kyrgyzstan
BISHKEK. Oct 28 (Interfax) - U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and billionaire George Soros will visit Kyrgyzstan soon to attend the opening ceremony of a new building of the American University of Central Asia, the press service of the U.S. embassy to Kyrgyzstan told Interfax.
The date of Kerry's visit is yet unknown, the press service said.
According to the embassy, Soros, who heads the university's board of trustees, will come to Bishkek on October 30-31.
The American University of Central Asia had been renting buildings in downtown Bishkek since its opening in the 1990s until the Kyrgyz leadership demanded the return of the buildings.
