One thousand militiamen imprisoned in Ukraine - LPR

LUHANSK. Oct 30 (Interfax) - Over 1,000 militiamen are held by the Ukrainian military, Igor Yashchenko, deputy head of the militia headquarters of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic, has reported.

"Over 1,000 people are now imprisoned by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, whereas we are giving away all prisoners, observing the 'all for all' formula," Yashchenko said.

Yashchenko said that, despite the fact that the LPR gave away over 100 POWs in exchange for 16 people in spring 2015, Ukraine "is now bargaining for every person."

On Thursday, representatives of the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR exchanged prisoners with Kyiv. Donbas representatives gave Kyiv nine people in exchange for 11 of their supporters on a bridge in the city of Schastya.
