A321 that crashed in Egypt was chartered by Brisco travel operator - Russian Union of Travel Industry
MOSCOW. Oct 31 (Interfax) - The Airbus A321 that crashed in Egypt on Saturday while en route from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg was chartered by the travel operator Brisco, Irina Tyurina, a spokesperson for the Russian Union of the Travel Industry (RUTI), told Interfax on Saturday.
"The flight's main customer is the travel operator Brisco, which has an office in St. Petersburg. There could have been clients of other companies on the plane as well, but Brisco accounts for the principal amount of this airline's tourist flights," she said.
There could have been people not only from St. Petersburg but also from other locations close to St. Petersburg on the plane, Tyurina said.
A number of media outlets had reported earlier that there could have also been clients of the travel company Coral Travel on board the plane, but Tyurina did not confirm this information.
