Shelling incidents may prompt DPR to postpone mortar withdrawal - Basurin

DONETSK. Nov 3 (Interfax) - The third stage of arms withdrawal may be postponed because of frequent shelling by the Ukrainian army, senior official of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Defense Ministry Eduard Basurin said on Tuesday.

"Hopefully, the number of shelling incidents declines before the designated date, and we will be able to easily withdraw the mortars. The date remains valid but the situation is extremely volatile," the Donetsk news agency quoted Basurin as saying.

He said the DPR intended to complete the arms withdrawal before November 10.

It was reported earlier that the withdrawal of DPR mortars from the contact line was planned for November 6.
