Relatives identify 19 victims of Egypt air crash - St. Petersburg deputy governor

ST. PETERSBURG. Nov 3 (Interfax) - The relatives of the victims killed in the crash of the Russian airliner in Egypt have identified 19 bodies, St. Petersburg deputy governor Igor Albin told reporters on Tuesday.

Most of the DNA samples of the victims' remains have been sent to the federal center for forensic tests, Albin said.

A total of 105 family members and relatives have arrived in St. Petersburg from 12 Russian regions; all of them are cooperating with specialists and assisted by 60 psychologists of the Emergency Situations Ministry, the official said.

Alexander Rzhanenkov, the head of the St. Petersburg social committee, said payouts to the families, whose documents have already been processed, will begin from November 5.

For his part, an Ingosstrakh representative said that over the past two days the insurance company has received 185 claims on which initial urgent payouts will be made in the amount of 100,000 rubles each.
