Putin signs law creating up to 150 bln ruble anti-crisis fund
MOSCOW. Nov 5 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law permitting to spend closing balance of the federal budget as of January 1, 2016, at an amount of up to 150 billion rubles to support economic sectors, social programs and budgets of Russian constituent territories and to render humanitarian aid to people in foreign countries, says a report published on the Kremlin website.
The law "On Adjustments to Individual Legal Acts of the Russian Federation Related to the Law on 2016 Federal Budget" was passed by the State Duma on October 23 and approved by the Federation Council on October 28.
The amendments will be made to the Russian Budget Code. The closing budget balance may also be spent to implement decisions of the president and the government in the field of national defense, exploration and use of outer space and law enforcement at the amount within the closing balance of 2015 allocations for those purposes.
