Visual identification of A321 crash victims complete - St. Petersburg authorities

ST. PETERSBURG. Nov 5 (Interfax) - Visual identification of victims of the Russian plane's crash in Egypt is complete, head of the St. Petersburg law and order committee Leonid Bogdanov told reporters on Thursday.

"As of today, we can announce completion of the collection of samples for DNA testing. Visual identification of the bodies has also been done," Bogdanov said.

Fifty-eight bodies have been identified, including 31 residents of other Russian regions. Four bodies have been released for burial by families, including two of Veliky Novgorod residents and two of Pskov residents, he said.

"The place of burial and the transportation means have been determined for practically all bodies," Bogdanov said.

Documents supporting indemnity claims are being filed, and investigators are examining material values and clothes the plane crash victims, he said.
