Russian, Egyptian aviation authorities keeping in constant contact regarding flight security - Peskov

MOSCOW. Nov 5 (Interfax) - Russian and Egyptian aviation authorities are maintaining constant contacts over security issues, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"Certainly, many times earlier, before this tragedy which took place over the Sinai Peninsula, we have already been proceeding from the security of flights and all the processes related to the flights have been ensured at the appropriate level," Peskov told reporters in reply to a question as to whether the Russian leadership received assurances from the Egyptian authorities that additional security measures have been taken at Sharm el-Sheikh airport.

He also said that "the contacts between Egyptian and Russian aviation authorities, as you understand, are being maintained on a constant basis."
