VTB might participate in $1 bln Belarusian Eurobond offering
MINSK. Nov 6 (Interfax) - VTB might participate in an offering of Eurobonds by Belarus, the Russian state bank's president, Andrei Kostin said.
"The issue of VTB Bank's participation in the Eurobond offering that the Belarusian government is planning was discussed," Kostin was quoted as saying by state agency BelTA following a meeting with Belarusian Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov.
Belarus has not abandoned plans to place Eurobonds totaling $1 billion, but it is premature to talk about the conditions of the issue and the location of the offering, Kostin said.
Kostin also said that VTB wants to recapitalize its Belarusian subsidiary.
