Russian military hardware proves its worth with successful air operation in Syria - expert
DUBAI. Nov 8 (Interfax-AVN) - The success of the Russian military operation in Syria, which has destroyed the infrastructure of the terrorist organization Islamic State (ISIL), has demonstrated the high combat potential of the Russian equipment, which will have a positive effect on arms exports, Rosoboronexport said.
"Of course, it goes to show that this is the equipment to be trusted, this is the equipment that is battleworthy," Mikhail Zavaliy, an advisor to Rosoboronexport's general director, told reporters on Sunday when asked how Russian pilots' successful air operations in Syria would affect the sales of weapons abroad.
The Russian military air operation in Syria has clearly proved the potential of the domestic defense industry which has "reached a worthy level," the expert said.
The work of the Russian aviation group in Syria is "an illustrious example of how our hardware is working," Zavaliy said. "It goes to show that our defense industry, including the aircraft building industry, is on the right track," he said.
