Reports of London's plans to put Russia on same threat list alongside ISIL, Ebola "not serious" - Russian ambassador
MOSCOW. Nov 9 (Interfax) - Russian Ambassador in London Alexander Yakovenko does not believe the reports that the British government considers Russia as dangerous as the terrorist group ISIL (banned in Russia) and the Ebola fever.
"Took note of reports re 'Russia considered in Whitehall as equally dangerous as IS or Ebola'. Doesn't sound serious," the ambassador wrote on his Twitter page on Monday.
A day earlier British media outlets reported that Britain was planning to rank Russia as a highest-level threat as part of its new national security strategy to be presented by Prime Minister David Cameron on November 23.
Other key threats included extremist groups such as the Islamic State and the spread of Ebola, the media reports said, citing sources in the British government.
