Russia to compulsorily fulfill WADA, IAAF recommendations if they follow - Mutko
MOSCOW. Nov 9 (Interfax) - The Russian side will study the results of a probe by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) independent commission and if WADA and the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) give their recommendations, they will be fulfilled, Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko said.
"If on the basis [of the report] of the [WADA] commission international institutions, such as if the World Athletics Federation or WADA give some recommendations, we will certainly fulfill them," Mutko said in an interview with Interfax on Monday.
Meanwhile, in his view, Russia has already done enough to settle the doping problems uncovered earlier. "We are paying the fees to WADA, we are participating in the fund of developments, I do not know what else we should do?" Mutko said.
As for the accusations against the Russian state that it influences the sport, the sport minister said that the ministry was responsible for working out the sport policy.
"I do not see any sensations, we will be working. I take with respect the work of any committee, but there should be no bias, we will deal with the rest," Mutko said.
