Dollar, euro gains against ruble accelerate on Thursday evening on oil

MOSCOW. Nov 12 (Interfax) - The ruble's decline against the dollar and euro accelerated on Thursday evening amid a steep decline in oil prices.

The dollar was up 61.8 kopecks to 66.033 rubles/$1 by 7:03 p.m. and the euro was up 70.7 kopecks to 71.01 rubles/EUR1. The bi-currency basket ($0.55 and EUR0.45) was at 68.27 rubles, up 66 kopecks.

As the result of this morning's index session, the Central Bank raised its official dollar rate for Friday by 88.48 kopecks to 65.4541 rubles/$1 and raised its euro rate by 95.73 kopecks to 70.337 rubles/EUR1.

The dollar averaged up 121 kopecks to 65.6049 rubles/$1 in Tom deals on the Moscow Exchange and, by 7:03 p.m., was up 112 kopecks to 65.7961 rubles/$1 in Tom deals. Overall trading volume was $7.228 billion, of which $1.558 billion Today and $5.671 billion Tom.

The euro averaged up 99 kopecks in Today deals to 70.3023 rubles/EUR1 and was up 122 kopecks in Tom deals to 70.6212 rubles/EUR1 in volume of EUR514 million, of which EUR228 million Today and EUR285 million Tom.

The MosPrime rate for overnight gained 2 basis points to 11.68% p.a.
