Aeroflot stops flights to Cairo starting Nov 18, other airlines from group - Dec 1

MOSCOW. Nov 13 (Interfax) - Aeroflot Russian Airlines is stopping flights from Moscow to Cairo starting November 18, the carrier said.

The Orenburg airline company, part of the Aeroflot group, will stop flying to Egypt from Russia starting December 1.

"In keeping with [Russian aviation agency] Rosaviatsia's ban on passenger flights to Egypt from November 6, 2015, Aeroflot is carrying passengers only in one direction, from Egypt to Russia. A phased reduction of the flight program and temporary halt in flights between Moscow and destinations in Egypt has been planned until the winter flights schedule ends," the airline said in a statement.

Aeroflot said that flights SU 5901 Hurghada - Domodedovo and SU 5903 Sharm El Sheikh - Domodedovo were coming to a stop on November 14, and that passengers would be flown by flights SU 5911 and SU 913 to Sheremetyevo.

"These flights are operated by Orenburg Airlines under Aeroflot's commercial management. From November 30, 2015, flight SU 5911 is being canceled, and Aeroflot is temporarily halting flights to and from Hurghada. Flight SU5913 is being canceled from December 1, 2015 and Aeroflot is temporarily halting flights to and from Sharm El Sheikh," Aeroflot said.
