Chinese leader offers Putin personal condolences over A321 crash in Egypt

ANTALYA. Nov 15 (Interfax) - At a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Antalya, Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed support for the Russian people over the crash of an A321 aircraft on the Sinai Peninsula.

"Each time that Russia runs into difficulties and misfortunes, we, with the Chinese people, will always stand on your side, on the side of Russian people," the Chinese leader said.

This air crash killed all passengers and crew, he said "Like you, I feel deep sorrow about it. Once again, I am conveying my sincere feelings of sympathy and the word of solidarity with all relatives and loved ones of those killed," Xi told Putin.

The Russian president responded by thanking the Chinese leader for his condolences over the air crash.

The Airbus A321 of the Russian airline company Kogalymavia crashed in Egypt on October 31, killing 224 people.
