Russia able to provide stable supply of energy resources to Asia Pacific region at competitive prices - Medvedev

MANILA. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has assured Asia Pacific countries that Russia is able to provide them with long-term energy resource supply at fair prices.

"On the whole, the Asia Pacific region has been and remains power-hungry. Russia can provide stable long-term supply of natural resources and, what is rather important, at quite competitive prices," Medvedev told participants in the APEC business summit in Manila.

"Russia intends to involve in the resolution of most difficult regional problems, for instance, the issue of energy security of Asia Pacific countries," Medvedev said.

He called for using energy capacities of Russia "with the maximum efficiency, in the interests of all countries of the region."
