OSCE SMM observes military hardware movements by conflicting parties in Donbas near frontline

LUHANSK. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Monitors of the Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) of the OSCE recorded presence and movements of military hardware of both the Ukrainian armed forces and the militia of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) near the line of contact in Donbas, the SMM press service told Interfax on Wednesday.

SMM monitors saw a Ukrainian convoy of two T-64 tanks loaded on traction trucks appear beyond the lines designated for arms withdrawal in the area of Novoaidar controlled by the Ukrainian government, the press service said.

Besides, SMM monitors also observed hardware and weapons movements by both conflicting parties in several areas beyond and inside the safety zone.

The SMM recorded the presence and movements of 24 KAMAZ trucks of military type (four of 24 trucks were carrying armed people) in Samsonivka, a settlement controlled by the LPR; one Ukrainian convoy consisting of 18 small, medium and large military trucks together with one 'BRDM-2' armored reconnaissance vehicle and four 'ZU-232' antiaircraft vehicles near Novoaidar, which is controlled by the Ukrainian government; three armored vehicles (one BTR-60 and two BTR-70s) near Nizniaya Olhova, a settlement also controlled by the government; two 'BMP-1' infantry fighting vehicles loaded on a military traction truck near government-controlled Schastya, the report said.
