Russia should not only repulse doping claims, sport should be made clean - Russian Olympic Committee head

MOSCOW. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Russia does not consider its priority just to hurl back the claims of doping use, the sport should be made clean, President of the Russian Olympic Committee Alexander Zhukov told reporters.

"The main task is not only to hurl back the claims which are being filed against us, but to really clear our sport of doping. This has always been the Russian Olympic Committee's stance," Zhukov said.

He said that the fight against doping should be outright and constant.

The Russian Olympic Committee's head said he hoped that the current problems would be settled in the near future and athletes of the Russian track-and-field athletic team would participate in the Summer Olympics in Brazil.
