Kazakhstan steps up security after terror attacks in France

ASTANA. Nov 19 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's Interior Ministry has tightened security following a series of terror attacks in France, Kazakh media outlets reported, citing the ministry's press office.

Further measures are being put in place to ensure public order and public safety. Police have increased their presence at state-protected facilities.

In addition, routine patrol schedules have been reviewed everywhere, law enforcement officers get additional briefings.

Police personnel are regularly trained in how to respond to threats or emergencies.

It was reported that 129 people were killed and around 350 injured as a result of a series of terror attacks in Paris.
