Eight people, including 2 civilians, killed in self-proclaimed Donetsk republic over past week - human rights commissioner's office

DONETSK. Nov 20 (Interfax) - Eight people, including two civilians, have been killed in the self-proclaimed Donetsk people's republic (DPR) over the past week, the DPR human rights commissioner's press service reported on Friday.

"From November 13 to 20, 2015, as a result of military actions in the Donetsk people's republic, eight people have been killed, including two civilians and six DPR military servicemen. Three people, including two civilians and one DPR military servicemen, have been hospitalized with injuries of varying degrees," a spokesman for the commissioner told journalists.

One of the civilians was a taxi driver, who sustained fatal wounds while on duty as Ukrainian government forces shelled the Donetsk airport area on November 17, he said.
