Number of registered HIV-positive Russians may reach 1 mln this year - expert
MOSCOW. Nov 23 (Interfax) - The number of HIV-positive persons will reach one million in Russia by the end of this year, Federal AIDS Center head Vadim Pokrovsky has said.
"The bad news is that forecasts are unfortunately coming true and we can expect the one millionth HIV-positive Russian citizen to be registered by the end of this year," Pokrovsky said at a press conference at Interfax on Monday.
The expert underlined that those were registered occurrences.
