SGM to build offshore Kuban-Crimea gas pipeline and onshore Simferopol-Sevastopol pipeline
MOSCOW. Nov 25 (Interfax) - Stroygazmontazh (SGM), a Russian construction company controlled by Arkady Rotenberg, will build both the offshore section of the Kuban-Crimea gas pipeline across Kerch Strait and the onshore Simferopol-Sevastopol gas pipeline, Energy Ministry materials state.
The combined length of the pipelines could total 314 km and they will be able to carry 4 billion cubic meters of gas annually. The tentative planning area is 18,000 hectares.
Construction is supposed to be financed with non-budget resources.
In Crimea, the pipeline will run through the Leninsky district, Feodosia, and the Kirovsky, Sovetsky, Krasnogvardeisky, Simferopolsky and Bakhchisaraisky districts.
The Energy Ministry has already signed an order to prepare the documentation for planning the gas pipelines, which are both deemed trunk pipelines.
