Turkish administration went beyond the limits of what is acceptable, risks putting country in very difficult situation - Lavrov
MOSCOW. Nov 27 (Interfax) - By downing the Russian Sukhoi Su-24 warplane Turkey went beyond the limits of what is acceptable and now risks putting itself in "a very difficult situation."
"We believe that the Turkish administration has gone beyond the limits of what is acceptable and risks putting Turkey in a very difficult situation in terms of long-term national interests and in terms of the position in the region," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said during a meeting with his Syrian counterpart Walid Mualem.
The relations between Russia and Turkey aggravated sharply this week after Turkey shot down a Sukhoi Su-24 plane that was on an anti-terrorist mission in Syria.
