Helicopter which crashed in Khanty-Mansi autonomous region had four people onboard, fifth passenger disembarked before crash - Interior Ministry

KHANTY-MANSIYSK. Nov 29 (Interfax) - There were four people onboard the helicopter which crashed in the Khanty-Mansi autonomous region: two crewmembers and two oil company workers, and the fifth person mentioned earlier disembarked from the helicopter before the crash, the regional police department press service said.

"The helicopter was flying over oil fields. There were five people onboard at first, but one worker disembarked on an oil field. The helicopter continued its flight and crashed," a press service representative said.

A district police officer arrived at the crash scene before the rescuers. He found the crashed helicopter and four bodies. He also said that two bodies were inside the helicopter and two were found 50 meters away from it.
