Sberbank not seeing problems with Turkish business - Zlatkis

MOSCOW. Dec 2 (Interfax) - Sberbank is not seeing problems with its Turkish business due to the exacerbation of relations between Russia and Turkey, Sberbank deputy head Bella Zlatkis told journalists on Tuesday.

"We're not yet seeing anything that is sensitive for our business in Turkey thus far. And we hope that this will continue to be the case," Zlatkis said.

However, she said that it would be best to wait for the Russian authorities' final decisions about the situation.

"It's still very early to say what might be affected and how. We'll nonetheless wait with you for the decisions of the authorities, the decisions of the president and decisions of the government. We hope that everything will be alright. We're not panicking at all," Zlatkis said.

Sberbank has a subsidiary in Turkey - Denizbank. The leading Russian lender closed the deal to acquire the bank, which was ranked the fifth largest private bank in Turkey and the country's ninth largest bank by consolidated assets, in September 2012.
