Power outages in Crimea make it impossible to restore state grain purchases
MOSCOW. Dec 3 (Interfax) - The resumption of state grain purchase interventions on the Crimean grain market is not possible due to continuing power outages on the peninsula.
As the Crimean Exchange told Interfax, the electricity supply schedule is not always observed and there is no opportunity to carry out trading.
As reported, the government grain purchases on the peninsula which took place on Thursdays, stopped on November 26. Before that, from August 19, some 59,000 tonnes of grain had been purchased for the intervention fund worth 563.4 million rubles.
