Serbia talks to Russia over discounted gas price for two Serbian strategic facilities - PM Vucic
BELGRADE. Dec 4 (Interfax) - Serbia expects to get a discounted gas price from Russia for the benefit of two Serbian strategic manufacturers, Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said in Belgrade on Friday.
Currently, Serbia buys natural gas at $170 per 1,000 cubic meters in Berehove at the Ukraine-Hungary border, Vucic said.
Talks are underway on Serbia's possible acquisition of gas at $155 per 1,000 c.m. for the needs of the facilities located in towns of Pancevo and Kikinda and operated by Azotara, the chemicals manufacturer, and MSK Kikinda, a firm also associated with the production of chemicals, respectively.
"We are going through the final stage of talks on this matter," Vucic told a joint press conference that he attended together with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
