Matviyenko not disclosing content of her conversation with Turkish foreign minister in Ashgabat

ASHGABAT. Dec 12 (Interfax) - Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu spoke on the sidelines of an international conference in Ashgabat at the Turkish request.

"There was an approach by the Turkish foreign minister, but no official bilateral talks were scheduled in this visit [by the Russian delegation to Turkmenistan]. It was his initiative, he came up (to me), we had a conversation with him," Matviyenko told reporters when asked whether she spoke to members of the Turkish delegation at the conference.

She declined to disclose details of her conversation with the Turkish foreign minister.
