Increasing OSCE SMM in Ukraine to 1,000 people to require considerable effort - Russian permanent representative to OSCE
MOSCOW. Dec 14 (Interfax) - Moscow considers it possible for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) to bring the number of its monitors in Ukraine up to 1,000 people, but the task will require a considerable amount of effort to achieve, Russian Permanent Representative to the OSCE Alexander Lukashevich has said.
"The task is achievable but will require quite a bit of effort," he said on the Rossiya 24 (VGTRK) television channel.
Russia is making a substantial contribution towards this goal, he said. "Currently we have 37 people in various offices of the mission," the permanent representative said.
