CBR to up DIA credit for deposit insurance fund by 140 bln rubles
MOSCOW. Dec 15 (Interfax) - The board of directors of the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) has agreed with a proposal from agency management to ask the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) to increase the limit on the agency's line of credit by 140 billion rubles, the DIA said in a press release.
The DIA needs this money to finance compensation for the deposits of clients of banks that have lost their licenses.
