NWF financing for high-speed rail to be discussed once design completed - Econ Ministry's Podguzov

MOSCOW. Dec 15 (Interfax) - Allocation of money from the National Welfare Fund (NWF) to finance construction of the Moscow-Kazan high-speed rail line might be discussed once the project design is completed, Deputy Economic Development Minister Nikolai Podguzov said.

"When the project documentation is available, there can be a conversation about the volume of the funds needed, from the NWF among other sources," Podguzov told journalists in Moscow on Tuesday.

"The process is taking its course; the issue now is in the project design. Money for the design work is being allocated in 2016. It will happen," he said.
