RusHydro ups 9M IFRS earnings 7.5% to 24.1 bln rubles

MOSCOW. Dec 15 (Interfax) - RusHydro boosted net profit to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) 7.5% year-on-year in January-September to 24.1 billion rubles, the federal hydro-generating company said in a report.

Earnings rose more than 5.5-fold to 5.5 billion rubles in Q3.

Adjusted net profit was up 6.7% to 28.2 billion rubles in 9M and up 280% to 8.1 billion rubles in Q3.

Revenue rose 5% to 245.1 billion rubles in the nine months and was up 9.4% to 74.3 billion rubles in the third quarter.

State subsidies were up 4.5% to 8.2 billion rubles in 9M.

Operating expenses increased more than 10% to 226.1 billion rubles in January-September, including 71.5 billion rubles in Q3, up 9.8%.

The group's power plants generated 26.396 billion kWh in Q3, 2.9% more year-on-year, and 83.569 billion kWh in 9M, 3.5% less. Electricity generation at hydropower and pumped-storage plants edged up 0.8% to 20.218 billion kWh in Q3 but fell 9.1% to 60.501 billion kWh in 9M. Thermal and geothermal power plants boosted electricity output 10.4% to 6.178 billion kWh in Q3 and 15.3% to 23.068 billion kWh in 9M.
