Car production in Russia plummets 23.6% in 11M - Rosstat

MOSCOW. Dec 15 (Interfax) - Russia produced 1.2 million cars in January-November 2015, 23.6% less year-on-year, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said.

Car production in November was down 22.2% year-on-year.

Russia produced 116,000 trucks in January-November, down 16.2% year-on-year. Production grew 6.3% year-on-year in November.

Bus production fell 17.1% year-on-year in January-November to 32,400. In November alone, output fell 20.8% year-on-year.

Russia's main car producers are OJSC Avtovaz , the Sollers group and CJSC Renault Russia (Renault's plant in Moscow). The country's main truck-builders are OJSC Kamaz and the GAZ group.
