Rusatom Overseas renamed Rusatom Energo International in restructuring
MOSCOW. Dec 24 (Interfax) - Rusatom Overseas, the international division of Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom, has changed its name to Rusatom Energo International, the company said in a statement.
Rusatom Energo International will focus on managing Rosatom's projects abroad involving the construction and operation of nuclear power plants with acquisition of equity interest in project companies. The company will raise financing, ensure projects are implemented on budget, and handle subsequent operation of nuclear plants as well as sales of electricity on foreign markets.
Rosatom's strategic council decided in May 2015 to restructure Rusatom Overseas in light of the fact that the company had successfully achieved the goals set for it when it was created in 2011, the statement said.
