Rostov Region Court upheld lower court's decision leaving Nadiya Savchenko in custody until mid-April

ROSTOV-ON-DON. Dec 25 (Interfax) - The Rostov Region Court in southern Russia has rejected an appeal filed by the defense team of Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko and has upheld the Donetsk City Court's decision to extend Savchenko's custodial term until April 16, 2016, an Interfax correspondent reported from the courtroom on Friday.

"The ruling of the Donetsk City Court shall remain unchanged," a court judge said when reading out the court's resolution in response to the appeal.
