Agricultural sector boosts sales of main product types except grain in 11M - Rosstat
MOSCOW. Dec 29 (Interfax) - Russian agricultural enterprises boosted sales of the main product types - except grain - in January-November 2015, Rosstat reported on Tuesday.
Sales of milk, livestock and poultry kept pace with last year's, Rosstat said.
Grain sales edged down 0.1% in 11M year-on-year to 46.2 million tonnes.
Sales of livestock and poultry (for slaughter) increased to 8.7 million tonnes, 7.3% higher than in the same period last year, compared with a 7.4% year-on-year increase in the first 11 months of 2014.
Milk sales rose 3.1% to 12.7 million tonnes, the same growth pace as a year earlier.
Agricultural enterprises also sold 26.8 billion eggs, 2.5% more than in 11M 2014, when egg sales edged down 0.5% year-on-year.
In November alone, grain sales rose 4% year-on-year to 6.2 million tonnes, livestock and poultry - up 8.1% to 0.8 million tonnes, milk - up 3.4% to 1 million tonnes. Egg sales increased 4.2% to 2.5 billion.
