Putin specifies staff size of some Russian agencies
MOSCOW. Dec 31 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree specifying the staff size of a number of the country's ministries and agencies.
The document, published on the official legal information portal, is intended to help meet obligations to pay salaries to federal civil servants and officials of federal state agencies "amid reductions in the overall amount of budget allocations intended to pay their salaries."
In particular, the decree sets the maximum staff size of the presidential property management department at 508 people (previously 500 people), the central office of the Russian Defense Ministry at 10,540 people (previously 10,400 people) and the Russian Investigative Committee at 21,126 people (previously 21,150).
The document also specifies the staff size of other agencies, including the Federal Bailiff Service, the central office of the Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, the Federal Drug Control Service and prosecution authorities.
