OSCE experts to survey situation along contact line in Karabakh conflict zone
BAKU. Jan 13 (Interfax) - OSCE mission members will visit the line of contact between Azerbaijani and Armenian forces in the Tartar district in the Karabakh conflict zone on Thursday, January 14, to continue their monitoring, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry press service said on Wednesday.
The monitoring will be conducted by field assistants to the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson in Office, Yevgeny Sharov and Simon Tiller on the Azerbaijani side, and Christo Christov and Jiri Aberle on the Armenian side, the report said.
The ceasefire regime in the Karabakh conflict zone was put into place in May 1994. The OSCE organizes regular field monitoring missions on the frontline with the assistance of the personal representative of the OSCE chairperson in office for the purposes of collecting information on the sides' compliance with the truce.
