Novatek ups gas production 9.3%, liquids 51% in 2015

MOSCOW. Jan 13 (Interfax) - Novatek produced 17.8 billion cubic meters (bcm) of saleable gas in Q4 2015, 9.4% more than in the same period of last year, the company said in a statement.

Liquid hydrocarbons production, in other words gas condensate and oil, rose 45.3% to 2.559 million tonnes.

Gas production rose 9.3% to 67.91 bcm in 2015 as a whole, and liquids production grew 50.7% to 9.1 million tonnes.

Novatek processed 3.322 million tonnes of unstable gas condensate in Q4 and 12.021 million tonnes in FY 2015 at the Purovsky Processing Plant, up 59.6% and 82.1%, respectively, from the corresponding volumes in Q4 2014 and FY 2014.

In Q4 2015 and FY 2015, Novatek processed 1.681 million tonnes and 6.727 million tonnes, respectively, of stable gas condensate at the Ust-Luga Fractionation and Transshipment Complex, which is 13.7% and 42.9% higher than in the respective periods in 2014.

Preliminary Q4 2015 petroleum product sales totaled 1.657 million tonnes, including 1.017 million tonnes of naphtha, 229,000 tonnes of jet fuel, and 411,000 tonnes of fuel oil and gasoil.

As the Ust-Luga Complex achieved full capacity utilization export sales of stable gas condensate were resumed in March 2015. During FY 2015, 1.478 million tonnes of stable gas condensate were exported, including 619,000 tonnes exported in Q4.

As at December 31, 2015, Novatek had 1.29 bcm of natural gas and 656,000 tonnes of stable gas condensate and petroleum products in storage or transit and recognized as inventory.
