RusHydro investment program 74.7 bln rubles in 2016, 187.3 bln rubles to 2018

MOSCOW. Jan 19 (Interfax) - Federal hydro-generating company RusHydro's investment program is 74.7 billion rubles in 2016, the Russian Energy Ministry said.

Energy Minister Alexander Novak has signed a decree approving the program.

The investment program for the period 2016-2018 is 187.3 billion rubles, including a planned 65.2 billion rubles in 2017 and 47.3 billion rubles in 2018.

Investment program financing in 2015 totaled 58.3 billion rubles.

RusHydro will add 800 MW of power generation capacity and 688 Gcal/hr of heat capacity in 2016-2018, including 396 MW and 470 Gcal/hr in 2016, 314 MW and 218 Gcal/hr in 2017 and 91 MW in 2018.

The investment program includes 47 billion rubles in financing to build four power plants, including 26.6 billion rubles in 2016 and 20.4 billion rubles in 2017.

It also provides 133.8 billion rubles for technical re-equipment and reconstruction, including 44 billion rubles in 2016, 44.2 billion rubles in 2017 and 45.5 billion rubles in 2018. Investment for that purpose in 2015 totaled 30 billion rubles.

The investment program also includes nearly 3 billion rubles for two flood-control hydropower plants in the Far East (Nizhne-Zeyskaya and Selemdzhinskaya) at the feasibility study stage, including 1.8 billion rubles to be invested in 2018.

The program does not include spending on facilities in Kyrgyzstan.

RusHydro plans to raise 49.2 billion rubles from outside sources for the investment program by 2018, including 19 billion rubles in 2016, 27.6 billion rubles in 2017 and 2.4 billion rubles in 2018.

The RusHydro investment program does not include investment by subsidiaries, the largest of which is RAO Energy System of East .

Company management reported on the expected indicators for the investment program to 2020, which planned investment in 2015 at 112.5 billion rubles (including VAT). Financing was slated to total 103.2 billion rubles in 2016, 77.7 billion rubles in 2017 and 79.3 billion rubles in 2018, as well as 63.3 billion rubles in 2019 and 69.2 billion rubles in 2020.

The 2015-2020 program stipulated addition of 2,900 MW of power generation capacity and 876 Gcal/hr of heat capacity.

RusHydro includes hydropower plants and thermal power plants with over 38 gigawatts of capacity, as well as Energy System of East and the Boguchansk hydropower plant. The state owns a controlling stake.
