Kyiv accuses DPR, LPR of disrupting captive swap
KYIV. Jan 20 (Interfax) - Representatives of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR) have put forward unacceptable conditions for the exchange of captives at a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk on Wednesday that resulted in the disruption of their release, says Darya Olifer, spokesperson of the Ukrainian representative in the group, former President Leonid Kuchma.
"Representatives of some districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions are not fulfilling the Trilateral Contact Group's recommendations to honor the ceasefire and exchange illegally kept people. Representatives of some districts in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions at the last moment have set forth absolutely unacceptable conditions for this exchange. Thus, dozens of people, who have not seen their families for many months, are again stripped of an opportunity to return to their relatives," she posted on Facebook following the Trilateral Contact Group meeting.
