Wage arrears in Russia fall 8.4% in Dec - Rosstat

MOSCOW. Jan 27 (Interfax) - Wage arrears in Russia fell 8.4% or 328 million rubles in December to 3.572 billion rubles, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said.

Arrears grew 11.3% in November.

Around 74 million rubles of the December arrears were public sector wage arrears caused by delays with transferring budgeted funds, down 8 million rubles or 9.8% since the end of November.

Companies and organizations themselves were responsible for 2.809 billion rubles or 97.4% of the arrears, down by 1.009 billion rubles or 26.4% since the end of November.
