State Duma committee's delegation prepares for April trip to Iran

MOSCOW. Feb 2 (Interfax) - A delegation from the State Duma International Affairs Committee, led by Committee Chairman, Alexei Pushkov, will visit Iran on April 10-12.

"The date of the committee delegation's visit to Iran has been chosen; it will take place in April," Pushkov told reporters on Tuesday, after a meeting with Ali Akbar Velayati, international affairs advisor to the Iranian supreme leader.

The delegation will have meetings with Iranian parliament members, he said. Inter-parliamentary relations "will be somewhat boosted," Pushkov said.

"Today, I was invited to speak at the Tehran Center for Strategic Research, in order to discuss geopolitical and international issues," Pushkov said.
