Number of Ukrainian refugees, temporary accommodation centers in Russia's Rostov region decrease sharply over past month
ROSTOV-ON-DON. Feb 3 (Interfax) - More than 100 displaced Donbas residents remain in a Temporary Accommodation Center (TAC) in the Neklinovsky District in the Rostov region, the press service of the regional government reported on Wednesday.
"At the start of this year, six TACs that operated in the region were housing 1,097 people, including 358 children. At this point 108 people, including 27 children, remain in the children's health farm Red Descent," the report says.
Currently, refugees remaining in Red Descent fall into the following categories: families with children aged under three years, families having no more than one member capable of working, disabled people (including those disabled since childhood), orphans aged under 18, and elderly pensioners.
Another group of Ukrainian refugees in the region comprises more than 27,000 people staying at their relatives and friends, the report says.
