New spacesuits to be delivered to ISS

KOROLYOV (Moscow region). Feb 3 (Interfax-AVN) - New spacesuits Orlan-MKS will be delivered to the International Space Station (ISS) before the end of 2016, chief flight officer of the Russian ISS segment Vladimir Solovyov told reporters on Wednesday.

"This year, it is planned to deliver three spacesuits in summer and autumn," he said.

As was previously reported, the freight spacecrafts Progress MS-03 and Progress MS-04 are due to fly on the orbit on July 4 and October 20.

Orlan-MKS developed by the Zvezda scientific-and-production enterprise is to replace the current spacesuits Orlan-MK, in which the Russian cosmonauts are working now.
